Freedom Conference | Alamir Kamal Farag

Some regimes deal with the citizen as if they deal with a patient of infectious disease and shouldn't get close from him . and if they , the ruling systems , had to meet him , it would be done from behind a screen or glass panel like that one sitting before the bank clerk , or through a slot such as those through which the prisoner contact with visitors in Jail . And if they were forced to directly contact with their citizen , they would wear gloves and protecting masks as if they deal with dangerous Bacteria .

Some regimes deal with citizens as if they deal with a herd of animals . They don’t believe that there citizens are people and have rights . They don’t consider them even after the revolutions that have been started and over-thrown the Egyptian and Tunisian presidents , and the revolutions moved so quickly like the fire to Libya , Syria and Yemen . Regimes didn’t consider despite what happens and they still deal with the citizen in the same logic . They despise their simple citizens and deal with them in a notability .

Even the regimes that talk all the time about " freedom " and pretend that they yielded to their people's will , they dealt with their people in a new style ; " freedom – conference " something new like " Video conference " , by this system ; the citizens can exercise a high degrees of freedom inside a gigantic prison .

Every one still in shock , the same shock we noticed on the faces of Zein Al-  Abidine , Mubarak , Al – kazafi , Al – Asad , and saleh . All these Arab presidents did not imagine before that their people might rebel against them .

They didn’t imagine that the herd could turn to be a huge revolution and overthrow them , repeating only one ward in the face of their presidents " go away " .

Finally the peoples knew their rights and got their freedom . But the former president still act as the director of his prison . The former presidents can't believe what is happening , they are furious .

Some regimes pretend that they consider the demands of their people concerning freedom . Then they began to play the game of " national discussions " that is like the game of " Tom and Jersey " that never ends .

But they can't deceive their peoples any more , they have experienced life and oppression very well .

Even after the Arab revolutions , the dictators still resist and assert their survival until the last breath .

The Arab rulers still kill their peoples in a cold blood to keep their positions as presidents . The authority is the bride that takes her lover to his end . Dose power really deserves such terrible price ?

The main problem is that the Arab didn’t offer a true theory of the government . Despite the high importance of the " regime " and its impact on the nations future , the Arab rulers didn’t offer a clear concept for the ruler and the ruled , the peculiarities of the ruler , and the nature of the governance , and the nature of the relationship between the ruler and the ruled .

For 1400 years , the government system in the Muslim countries was formed by chance , except a few countries .

There were no rules and no guide to lead peoples to achieve a true ruling system and enable them to choose a suitable honest governor to be responsible for the country and its people .

The Holy Quran and the prophet's Sunnah provide the general principles of the good governance that is based on justice , consultation and responsibility . It gives the people a chance to determine the practical steps to achieve its aim . But people violated the commandments of the quran and sunnah , and they provided very strange regimes . such regimes ; some depends on revolutions , as those in monarchies , others are based on sectarian quotas and dividing the country between different sects like workers , farmers and women , and other regimes depend on people's committees .

The Islamic history is full of great models of rulers who were symbols of justice , humility and selflessness .

The existence of such great models was due to the goodness of the ruler , his piety and his commitment to God ; commandments , not the regime or the government system .

Freedom is a fundamental right as important as water and air , a right that can't be taken away or given as a gift . The rules should be one of his own people , he is a mere secretary , a senior official who works for his own people and considers their demands . Never pay attention to those who sanctify the governor as if he were a god , the ruler and the ruled both are ordinary human beings , they all are equal .

Animals are free in the zoo , birds are free in cages , but such freedom is equal to the prisoner’s freedom to do what he wants inside the cell's high walls .

The Arab citizen needs to practice a true freedom like the birds who fly so high in the wide sky so freely .
