Star”, for many times this word incites me and I think that it is not a pure literary word. It is not an accurate derivation that came to Arabic language from other languages.

“Star” this word is used as a reference to some one famous. It is derived from the expression “a shiny star that every one can see clearly” to refer to some one famous. But this word incites me for many reasons, such as being limited to the footballers and actors. Only they are called stars. Any one who works in these fields called a star even if he is not talented? But I think that every one who is superior in his domain should be called a star; the doctor, the scientist, the teacher, or even the craftsmen like the carpenter or the plumber. In every field in life, in every position, there are stars that are superior in their jobs.

Another problem is that being a star was never the real criterion for evaluation people. He may be a star that means he is famous, but actually he has no value. In this case he exactly looks like a beautiful decorated box, but it is empty. In the same time, there are many creative superiors whose no one knows any thing about.

Being famous was never a sign for being a positive useful person. May be you find a murderer or a criminal who is very famous for being involved in a horrible crime. So, there is a good fame and a bad one; the fame of criminals.

“Star” is a false title; its harm is more than its benefit. It can’t be a criterion of evaluation. It’s a mere word used by those who want to be prominent. And in spite of being such popular, it would never be more than a false complement.
