The man, the animal, the plant, and all the creatures in general are liable to diseases. But recently I have discovered that also nations are liable to diseases. About the Arab nations, some of them are affected by definite social diseases. And every state has a special one or may be a group of diseases.

It isn’t a puzzle or a sort of imagination. But if you pay attention to this, you will discover that there is a common negativity which became one of the characteristics of the people of that state. I don’t mean to make satire on a people of a nation here or there, but what I really mean is to know more about these social diseases which are ignored by every one.

Of course there are some physical characteristics that distinguish people of different nationalities. For example; Japanese is distinguished by the big eyes and small lids, the Pakistani is distinguished by the light brown skin, the sharp eyes, and the dark hair. The French is distinguished by being thin, even the French woman is set as an example for elegance.

On the other hand, there are some social characteristics that distinguish every people. For example, there is a people that is characterized by reliance on the other, another people is characterized by frigidity and unfriendliness that was set as an international example. Another is characterized by its social violence. It isn’t so strange, it was approved by some researches and studies that there are some diseases that increase in special spots. So, it is natural to find some social diseases in some states.

What really concern me are the social diseases of the Egyptian people. I have the right to criticize and analyze its diseases without any accusation of abuse or envy, which became common for Arabs these days to face any criticism.

The disaffiliation is a dangerous social disease in Egypt which has appeared recently in many Egyptians. There are many Egyptians who are ungrateful and pessimistic about the future. Sometimes it becomes more than a personal anger and positive criticism, it turns to be assaults.

It may be an advanced morbid phase of masochism. Or it may be a result of the freedom of opinion which the Egyptian citizens have been gifted recently. This freedom allows every one to make criticism on every thing in life such as; the social corruption, the political system, the living itself in general, etc, without any objection. Others may have a philosophical point of view. In their opinion, this sever criticism is out of love of the home and the desire to make it better and better.

But when paying attention to this phenomenon, we find that; the Egyptians make more than a positive criticism. First it begins by criticizing something, and then this criticism turns to be attacks and abuses for our home and its history. It turns to be assaults by depicting our home country in a bad and painful manner that every one refuses.

We can accept this verbal satire and criticism. The Egyptian man was known by his jokes and the literary works that aim to criticize his life and problems, and we have many examples as Beram Altonsy and Alshaikh Emam. But abusing own country is a very dangerous social disease that makes us stop and wander.

We are face to face with a serious moral problem. It seems like some one left his lover because he is just sick, or to send his mother to the old age house because she is old, instead of caring about her and staying with her.

Abusing our home is ungratefulness exactly like when the son abuses his mother.

I accept the living and the political criticism. As the freedom of opinion, that was gained during the last few years, is considered as a good profit that we should keep. But what I can never accept is that desperation, abuses, conspiracies, and this feeling of being ready to abandon it at the first chance.

The great Egypt may change a little and look like bad, but it quickly can refresh and renew to be better than before. After the war of 1967, when we were beaten, six years after; the armies were prepared and achieved victory in 1973. They could pass the mound and Barlif line and defeated the enemy.

If we have no affection towards our country, it will be easy for us to accept being low. Although the Egyptians were well known by their pride of their history and glory and their strong affection for their country, there are many people, for sorry, who have no affiliation because of many reasons.

Speaking about these reasons, they may be, for example; the immigration to another country where he found a better economic circumstances, and then he thought that he found a step home, and his original one is a mere place to visit every year to remember his memories. As a result his affection for his original home country was reduced or even disappeared. Another reason which may be these current bad circumstances which he faces every day in his country those make him loose his confidence in every thing; his present, future and spread the social desperation, and made him a psychopathic character with a sever inner conflict that makes him hurt him self without realizing what he is doing.

But I still wander about the reason of that social fatal disease. Is it because of the social and political affairs which did not change a lot during the last 30 years? Or, is it because of the social and political problems such as poverty, corruption, economic affairs, and many other problems? Does the Egyptian really have a strong affiliation for his country more than any other one in any other country?

Is there a gas that was spurge in the cities of Egypt to cause desperation and weak-welling? Is there a disease that affected all the Egyptians with inability, as it was depicted in an Egyptian movie “the deep sleeping”, and also was depicted by many of the scientific fiction movies that discussed the idea of some inventions that enable us to control peoples’ mind.

Is it a sort of conspiracy? (According to the famous theory that exposed that every thing which is wrong is out of a secret plot, and we back every thing to). Or, is it a sort of an investigation work and a psychological warfare in which some opposite forces took part in to destroy the Egyptian personality and make it feel failure, despair, and inability? It resembles the collective coma, some one or a group was despair and after a short time every one was affected by them, exactly like what happened in a school from years ago when many students were fainted at the same time with no definite reason.

This situation may be expressed by some one who has a gold precious bar and another one tries very hard to convince the first man that his bar is worthless to make him believe that and as a result he would through it away so the second villain can take it.

There are some merits and demerits that distinguish the Egyptian people from any other people in the world, and this strange negativity is one of his characteristics.

About this subject, we need a comprehensive study about the collective and national security. If we allow this social disease to spread, it will be more dangerous than a nuclear bomb.

I really wish that the Arab search centers give a due attention to the nations’ diseases, and to discuss its reasons and phases, and to give some solutions for desperation, disaffiliation, violence, and many other social diseases.
